The Founders Series

This is where CasaDeGustav begins.

Three works. Ten editions of each. Thirty prints in total, worldwide. Each one signed by hand, numbered in order of purchase, and printed on museum-grade Hahnemuhle Photo Rag at a Hahnemuhle Certified Studio.

When the tenth edition of each work is claimed, that work closes permanently. It will never be reprinted. The edition is sealed.

There are no discounts. There are no exceptions.

Gustav Nel has been chasing one image for twenty years.

Not a place. A feeling. The moment a palm catches light in a way that stops you from whatever you were thinking about. He has found it on volcanic ridges in Hawaii, on forgotten coastlines in Costa Rica, in the still heat of afternoons that refused to end.

He does not photograph palms. He photographs what they hold.

CasaDeGustav is where that obsession becomes permanent.
